Beijing, May 31, 2019 –Pratt & Whitney was invited by CAS to carry out training on GTF engine. Jia Baojun, chairman of CAS, attended the training and the vice president of CAS, Zhu Haiping delivered a welcome?speech, while Yogesh Farsmani, the president of Pratt & Whitney in Greater China Region, gave an opening speech and Rick Deurloo, the vice president and CUO of Pratt & Whitney, conducted?the engine training.
Zhu Haiping warmly welcomed Pratt & Whitney group and addressed that as one of the three biggest aircraft engine manufacturers, Pratt & Whitney has been supplying over ten thousands engines for customers all over the world and playing an important role in engine training. He mentioned that Huapu Aviation Engine Training Center, a joint venture between CAS and Pratt & Whitney,?has been running successfully over 20 years. This training will deepen mutual understanding and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation?between?both sides.
Yogesh Farswani appreciated the invitation of CAS, and expressed expectations for future cooperation with CAS in Chinese market.
Rick Deurloo introduced the history and market of Pratt & Whitney engines, and made a comparison between GTF engine and traditional engine to stress its advantages of low fuel cost, low noise and high performance, so that the trainees could have?a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the GTF engine.
